John Sung Park, a resident of California, was recently arrested for cheating at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. According to Nevada Gaming Board officers, Park was not playing by the casino's rules. Surprisingly enough, after his arrest police discovered that the man had been considered dead.
After a short investigation, local authorities found out that 29-year-old Park disappeared during a diving accident at Laguna Beach. Apparently, he faked his own demise in order to avoid sentencing on several grave charges in Orange County, including theft, forgery and drug possession.
Unfortunately for the 'dead' casino player, the casino's security noticed his cheating maneuvers. He was immediately apprehended and his prior record was exposed. Park is most likely to be extradited to Orange County where he will probably face further charges, such as faking an emergency as well as gambling fraud.
