      DA/DA2 The ability to double down on any first 2 cards.
      DAS Abbreviation for a rule permitting the player to double after splits. See also Double After Split.
      DD Double down.
      Deal To distribute the cards to players during a hand.
      Dealer The casino employee at the blackjack table who deals the players their cards.
      Deck A standard deck of 52 cards used for playing blackjack.
      Discard Tray A tray on the right side of the dealer that holds all the cards which have been played or discarded.
      Discards The cards which had already been played since the last card shuffling and placed in the discard tray by the dealer.
      DOA Casino rules which permit doubling on any 2 playing cards.
      Double after Split Casino rule which permits doubling down after a player has split any pair.
      Double Deck A form of blackjack/21 in which multiple decks are used.
      Double Down To double the size of your original wager prior to taking one more card. After a player doubles down, he/she may receive only one additional card. Generally, though not always, a player may only double down after receiving the first 2 cards. He/she does this by putting an amount which may be less than, or equal to (though not exceed) the original wager behind his/her initial bet. In some casinos players may double down after splitting. In others, players may only double on 10 or 11.
      Double Only Any Two Cards A casino rule which allows for doubling on any 2 cards.
      Double Exposure Slang meaning the blackjack dealer's cards are dealt face-up.
      Draw (also Hit) A request for an additional card.
      DS Double after split.
