1. Bo Sehlstedt wins EC Poker Tour

The EC Poker Tour, sponsored by Titan Poker, has been won by Swedish player Bo Sehlstedt in dramatic fashion. It is rare for fans to get such a thrilling finale to a final table, but they were in for a real treat at Casino di Venezia in Malta where the tournament was being held.

After a second day which saw some thrilling game play with lots of aggressive tactics, all-ins, and bluffs, there was more to come for fans at the end of the final table.

On the final hand, three players remained: Michael Schuchardt, Bo Sehlstedt, and John Van De Bruggen. Pre flop, the leader was Schuchardt, but after the flop Sehlstedt jumped into the lead. After the turn card was revealed as a 10, Schuchardt once again looked the favorite. They thought it was all over, but when the river card showed an Ace, Sehlstedt won with a full house. Van De Bruggen then picked up second spot, and Schuchardt was left in third.

The CEO of Casino di Venezia, Fernando Orlandi, said that “once again Malta has confirmed itself as an important destination on the international poker circuit.” Sehlstedt took home €51,382 for his efforts, Van Der Bruggen won £31,200, and Schuchardt had to settle for €21,450.
