Bank Craps The entire name for Craps.
Barber Poll When a gambler combines gambling chips of varying denominations. Bets placed combining different denominations are generally stacked with the highest denomination on the bottom.
Big 6 A wager that a six will be rolled before a seven comes up. The bet pays even money & has a house edge of 9.1 percent. A place bet on six pays 7:6 but is identical otherwise. The place bet is preferable, having a house edge of 1.5 percent.
Big 8 A wager that an 8 will be rolled prior to a 7 coming up. This gamble pays even money, and enjoys a house advantage of 9.1 percent. A place bet on 8 pays 7:6 but is equal otherwise. The place bet is preferred, enjoying a house edge of 1.5 percent.
Big Red Placing a wager on Any Seven
Black Dealer's slang for $100 gambling chips, which are black in most casinos.
Bones Another term for dice.
Bowl A wooden, plastic & sometimes metal bowl next to the stickman that holds the dice.
Boxcars Gambling on the twelve.
Boxman Table supervisor who is seated between the dealers and across from the stickman. He/she is in charge of the thousands of dollars worth of chips that casinos keep on hand at every Craps table. (House Bank).
Boys (or The Boys) Slang meaning the Dealers.
Broke Money Transportation funds provided to broke gamblers by the casinos.
Buffalo Placing a wager on each of the Hardways & Any Seven.
Buffalo-Yo Same as above, though with Hardways & Eleven.
Bump When the dealer takes an extra 20-minute break due to the table or pit being overstaffed relative to the gambling activity.
Buy A wager giving the casino a five percent commission so that correct odds are paid for a place bet. The buy bets on 4 & 10 allow players to lower the house edge from 6.67 percent to 4 percent on these wagers. Some casinos collect commissions on winning wagers only, whereas others collect commissions when the wager is placed.
