Save the Odds Called by Stickman when seven is rolled on come-out roll to remind dealers to return Odds On Come Bets back to gamblers who may have odds placed on their active Come Bets.
Self-Service Field Bets, Big 6 & Big 8 are self-service wagers not handed off by the dealers.
Service When Dealer (and occasionally Boxman) work in concert with players to ensure that their specific pattern of bets are properly positioned.
Seven Out When a shooter rolls 7 after a point's been established. Control of the dice is given to the next player. Another term for this is "miss out."
Shooter The player who's rolling the dice. The shooter is required to make a "line" bet ("pass" or "don't pass") in order to be entitled to roll the dice. Shooters can place other bets on top of the required "line" bet. Most shooters play the "pass" line. A shooter who makes "don't pass" bets is not betting against themselves, but is simply betting that the dice won't "pass."
Single Odds An odd bet that is about as big as the original pass/come bet. Various casinos allow "double odds," or even bigger odds bets.
Skinny Slang for a bet on Any Seven. Also referred to a "Big Red."
Sleeper Bet A bet which continues to parley up due to the owner of the bet having left the table. Generally locked up by the casino.
Snake Eyes Betting on the number two.
Stacks The piles of gambling chips utilized by Dealers to pay off bets.
Still Up Expression often called out by dealers to remind players that a particular bet is still in play. Also posed as a question to see if a player wishes the same wager to be placed.
Strip Odds Smaller pay-off on Proposition Bets, Place Bets on 6 & 8, and occasionally Field wagers - than generally found in most Vegas casinos.
Square Pair A hard 8
Stacks Dealers' chips in a range of denominations used for paying off winning bets, or Coloring In/Out.
Stickman The casino's employee who announces the dice rolls and returns the dice to the shooter. The stickman also is in charge of placing & paying the proposition bets.
Stroker A player hustling bets at a table or causing difficulties for dealers servicing a table. i.e. Picking up other players' winning wagers, barber polling bets, placing late wagers.
Stiff A gambler who never tips/tokes the dealers, even when they win.
Sweat the Money Expression employed by dealers & players referring to floor people becoming nervous when a table is losing to the gamblers.
