Wall (or Back Wall) Either end of the table. Shooter is required to hit "The Back Wall" to complete a fair toss of the dice.
Wash Your Hands A dealer is required to clap or swipe his/her hands prior to leaving their table.
Whip Slang for the stickman's stick.
Working Bets which are "live" - meaning they can be resolved with the next roll, are known as "working." Generally, place bets, buy/lay bets, and come odds bets don't work on the come-out unless players notify the dealers to "make them work." All other wagers ‘work' unless called "off" (i.e., player informs the dealers they do not want them to "work").
Whirl (or World) Bet A wager that the following roll will be 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12, made in multiples of 5, with a single unit on each of the numbers.
Wrong bettor A player betting that the dice will not pass.
