Entertasia Releases Crazy21 in Preparation for Blackjack Movie
The online gambling community is preparing for what they hope is a tipping point in online blackjack: the release of the movie "21" from Columbia Pictures on March 28. Starring Academy Award-winner Kevin Spacey, "21" is based on the best-selling book "Bringing Down the House" by Ben Mizrich. The book and movie are based on the true story of a group of MIT students who take Las Vegas and other casinos for millions of dollars by using an impressive system of team card-counting.
Many online casinos are making preparations for the movie release in the event that online blackjack becomes a phenomenon as online poker did just a few years ago. In 2003, amateur player Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker, almost single-handedly launching the online poker crazy that continues today.
Entertasia, a premier provider of online game software, recently created the new game "Crazy21" to take advantage of press from the upcoming movie. Crazy21 is a normal blackjack game with the option of additional bets, including the Safe Bet, the Highest Hand Bet, and the 777 Jackpot Bet.
