Fallout from US Gaming Law Washing Up on Island’s Shores
Recent reports from a Guernsey-based news agency are indicating rapid expansion within the British Channel Island's online gaming industry. Reasons for this new and welcome growth are being attributed to the passing of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) in the U.S. and its subsequent effects.

Kensington Corporation, a local consulting firm advising Internet companies on gambling licenses, is said to be enjoying a noticeable surge in business ever since the new U.S. law was enacted. Company officials believe the American ban will work to its advantage as U.S. companies seek to set up beyond its borders.
According to Norson Harris, Kensington Corp.'s managing director, though the changes in the new U.S. legislation are considerable, they were announced well beforehand and most of the company's customers, including Tribeca Tables, Paddy Power and WagerWorks, are already globally engaged.
