Keno Rules
There's also the video version of Keno which are coin-operated machines similar slots. The game is played along the same principle and rules of the regular Keno , but players receive the results much faster.
To play Keno , a player selects a minimum of four but no more than ten numbers between 1 and 80. Each selection is referred to as a 'Spot,' so if you select 10 numbers you're playing a 10 Spot game.
Players simply mark a blank Keno ticket with the numbers they select. The player then presents their ticket to the Keno desk with their wager and the clerk gives the player a duplicate ticket. A few minutes later, 20 numbered Keno balls are drawn at random from a barrel containing 80 numbered balls, and if enough of a player's selected numbers are drawn, they are a winner. The results are shown on screens known as Keno boards.
Minimum wagers can be as low as five cents, although some online casinos only accept bets of $1 or more. The casino's Keno brochures provide information regarding payoffs and various tickets you can play.
The amount of money a player wins depends on the type of ticket they play and the number of 'spots' caught. You can play as many tickets as you like, and can win as much as $50,000 on a $1 bet in some casinos.
Each round in a Keno game is known as a Keno race. In many casinos, 'multi-race' Keno is also offered where players may participate in a number of consecutive Keno races at a single time.
The casino's advantage on Keno varies depending on the Keno game played. It's generally around 30% or more.
