Progressive Online Baccarat
Progressive Baccarat is played no differently than regular Baccarat, except that Progressive Baccarat jackpots can grow incredibly fast, thus offering players potentially massive cash winnings!
How a Progressive Baccarat game basically works is this: Every time a player places a bet on an online Progressive Baccarat game (which is also being played simultaneously at any number of other online casinos), a fraction of that bet is automatically added to a common pot. Whenever a player gets the correct result, that player wins either the entire jackpot or part of it, depending on the game.
The moment a progressive jackpot has been won, a new pot is begun with each of the linked online casinos contributing a base amount of cash known as a seed. The purpose behind this is to make sure that even if you hit a jackpot immediately after someone else, you're still guaranteed a very big win.
How to Play Baccarat
The object in a game of Baccarat is to build a hand having a point total a close to 9 as possible. Aces are worth one; number cards are worth their face values; 10s and picture cards count as 0. If the sum of your hand adds up to a 2-digit number, merely ignore the first digit. The last digit represents the point value of your Baccarat hand. For instance: 7 + 8 = 15 = 5 and 5 + 9 = 14 = 4. In this case the hand worth 5 wins because it is closer to 9 than 4.
Progressive Baccarat Wagering
Betting at Progressive Baccarat is also a breeze. There are three possible bets you can make: Wagering on the Banker's hand, on the Player's hand, on a Tie, or any combination of these three possible bets. The player and the banker (aka Dealer or House) are then each dealt a 2-card hand. In some situations (according to Third Card Rules), the player and/or the banker is dealt a third card.
Betting on the Player pays 2 to 1, betting on the Banker also pays 2 to 1 (after a 5% commission or ‘Vigorish' is collected by the House), and betting on a Tie pays 9 to 1. When the player and banker both have hands of equal value, the result is a Tie. If no bet was placed on a Tie to win, the player's bet is returned.
Progressive Baccarat cards are dealt from a shoe which holds 6 card decks. The shoe is shuffled after every single round.
